Where it all began...
After graduating from high school, I stepped into college as a senior in high school...
My future started to come into conversation more than I imagined. The big questions: Where do you see yourself after high school? graduation? in 5 years...etc, etc.

Conversations I did not want to have, especially because I just wanted to take one step at a time. Although it was a big question, it did make me think. Where did I wanna see myself in 5 years? Which is where I started to be drawn to Graphic Design. Being able to be creative, express my designs, learn the background of web designing, and more. While taking a handful of classes...testing the waters, I decided that was not my passion. I wanted to create simple but cute logos, invitations for people, and show my work on social media. Which puts it into perspective of Social Media Marketing, and or Marketing. I dove straight into Marketing classes, and I am happy to say I am achieving my Associate's in Marketing, minor in Marketing in Communications.
I was able to work on some designs for family, friends, or just myself. I always enjoyed the thought of working for myself, creating my own hours, and going with the flow, or the work flow.

When I was graduating from high school. I decided to do my own work in marketing for my Senior Project- a menu I created.
I worked with the General Manager and Executive Chef at Rick Erwins in Greenville, SC. It was truly such a fun experience, especially since I could taste test so much. This opened my eyes to how much work, courage, and taking big steps it takes to work in a heavily loaded business. The steps you need to take, the hours of work, new beginnings, some doors closing...it all ties together and creates a business, not just any business but a successful one. While only being in high school at this time, it took many hours and lots of late nights to create a perfect project, which was mine.
I am completing my college journey, earning my Associate’s Degree in Marketing. Creativity has always been a passion of mine, especially when it comes to designing unique projects and helping friends and family bring their ideas to life. Over the years, I’ve supported numerous businesses by creating social media posts, designing business cards, setting up social media pages, and more.
In 2025, I officially launched carlyadesigns, a name custom-made just for me that reflects my personal touch and dedication. Although carlyadesigns became my official business this year, I have been creating and working on design projects under different names since 2019. carlyadesigns came about because I wanted to share my work more widely and hope to collaborate with more people in the near future.
I especially enjoy crafting designs for events—any party is a great occasion in my eyes! I also use social media to showcase my creations and gather feedback to continually improve.
Feel free to look around and explore my work. If you like what you see and are interested in collaborating or have design needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.
